After much thought and deliberation, RaceConnect will bring an end to the Real F1 Championship. This is mainly due to the decreased numbers in the series and giving consideration to the fact Sunday evenings can be such a hot bed for racing, the series is clearly unpopular.
Id like to offer apologies to all drivers who supported the series throughout the year and congratulations to Roberto Balli who's lead and form were outstanding and is all but uncatcheable.
An announcement will be made very soon regarding its replacement series.
This is the first of the cuts of series' this week as we look to trim our schedule into a more attractive & manageable format.

Round 4 of the Mirafiori Challenge was held on Saturday. Previous rounds have all witnessed great close racing.
Each Round features a 3 x 10 lap race per evening format, and the tracks have been chosen for their short laptimes. Click HERE if you'd like to register for the next round @ Cadwell Park.
Round 1 witnessed 3 different winners from the 3 races held. However MBP's Paul Le Gallez dominated round 2, with 3 wins from 3. In the 3rd round at the Tskuba circuit, Pro-AM's Jonathan Hallas managed to break Paul Le Gallez's run of wins. Round 4 was held at Road Atlanta, on the short 'Sport' circuit, and this time the hat-trick of wins went to Jonathan Hallas. Paul Le Gallez however, with three 2nd places, was able to hold on to a comfortable lead in the Championship.
This weekend is the final round, and will see the deciding 3 races, at the Cadwell park circuit in Great Britain. There are still plenty on points on offer, so even going into the final round, the Championship is by no means in the bag.
The series uses the Fiat 131's from the 1970's. these cars were well known for their superb handling on some of the toughest rally tracks worldwide. Although the series doesn't visit any rally tracks, it does visit a host of short twisty circuits.

Following the second round of the RCLMS Pro event held on 13th August, the result for round 2 is given below. The championship table, plus round 1 result can be found in the Read-More Section.
Congratulations to the finishers. After 2 Rounds, Hell Racing Hungary Lead the P1 table, with AGP Consortium leading P2, and lSD the GT1 Class.
Round 3 will be held on 17th September on the Sebring Circuit, and will feature a 12 hour timescale factor, taking the race from Dawn 'till Dusk. The circuit version to be used, will be the recently released VLM Sebring.
The download section has now been organised into series categories. Mods, tracks, skins or any other additional files will appear within the download categories to make it easier to identify which circuit is required for each race in the series.
Over the next two months, RaceConnect will undergo some important changes.
Firstly, the site will undergo a platform upgrade which will greatly impact the performance and features that RaceConnect will offer.
All the existing services and features will remain but the platform upgrade will allow us to introduce further enhancements and completely new features to the organisation.
Secondly, RaceConnect will further upgrade its hosting, again enhancing the speed and performance of the site.
Once these two major upgrades have happened, the new features will be rolled out carefully.
More information will be released soon regarding the upgrades, but for now, RaceConnect would like to inform its members that we are listening and many of the suggestions and wishes that members have made are already under development.
After a break the BMW E9Zero returns with an Americas leg, incorporating South America, United States and Canada. Eight rounds of door to door action with short sprint races with the super pole qualifying format. The series fires up on Thursday 4th August at Birmingham.
This series does require the mandatory download and installation of a skin pack which is available in the downloads section.
Please join Tom for this intense touring car action with one make with equal performance. Free set ups permited it is driver vs driver not car vs car. Tom has found the right formula for this series fast and furious close racing at its best, on some of the most famous tracks in the Americas aswell as some reletively unknown ones. Full schedule will be unvieled very soon.
RaceConnect are pleased to announce an exciting new series to our growing membership database, The RCLMS PRO 2011. This exciting new championship will take place over 5 months and visit 5 legendary tracks. Teams will be formed to take on this challenging series in a bid to be crowned class champions. Race length will be 6 hours, allowing for teams of 2,3 or even 4 drivers to take part in each event. With permission from Enduracers, we will use a modified version of the fantastic Endurance Series Mod. Teams will be able to chose from 3 classes, P1,P2 and GT1.
For this series, RaceConnect will also be using SimSync, some of you may have used this before but others wont, this software will enable us to try to make sure that every member taking part will have all the files needed for each race, thus reducing last minute mismatches.....
Teams will need to sign up in the forum for the whole season, drivers may create teams just for this series, all exiting/previous teams wont be carried over to this series, allowing you to team up with anyone you like.
I do not have access to the simsync as this was privately purchased by George. So I have created a seperate category in the RaceConnect Downloads section where I will be uploading all files to as and when they are ready. Notification of new files will be through the forum.
