THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE!!!!

During the past few months there have been various conversations, and disgruntled comments suggesting that the penalties in some instances did not fit the incident. In a few cases it appeared that the perpretrator got off very lightly.

Following a heated discussion in the forum and over teamspeak the admin team and myself had a lengthy meeting in the admin room of the live chat system. The upshot of this was an overhaul of the penalty system here at RaceConnect. Notice of this ruling was given 2 weeks ago in this forum thread.

For a 1 month period this will effect the Marquee events only, Real F1, STES Endurance Masters  depending on results the system may well be introduced to all series.

RaceConnect reserve the right to monitor and if deemed necessary to implement the new penalties across the entire calendar.

Please would ALL members make themselves familiar with the new penalties.

Last month we launched our very own motorsports news website. RaceConnect PitStop News .com . This site covers all aspects of world wide motorsports news direct from teams and organisers. The majority of the news in the site has been submitted direct from the teams and not re written by any of our staff.

Our very own Richard Sobolewski will be submitting exclusive F1 and hopefully ALMS reviews. PitStopNews does not just feature the top formula's but also the grass roots club level motorsport aswell.

Thursday April 8th will welcome a new dawning of an old favourite at RaceConnect the BMW E9Zero World Tour.

I must thank Martin for all his work in the series and wish him well. As I can not do Martins work justice I have introduced a few new ideas of my own, but attempting to keep in the spirits of the races that Martin would be proud of.

As before custom liveries are most welcome in the E9Zero World Tour and the spray bay is open now for new cars. If your old BMW only needs a polish out with Tcut all well and good. If you require a new livery for 2010 and do not have the time or skills please get in touch. For those who have a skin they would like including please submitt it to me. For those who want to paint their skin the template can be found here submission deadline for skins is April 1st 2010.

Following a PM from Alessandro Gamberini I have decided that what RaceConnect needed next was its very own TV channel. So with a little playing around I have now set up RaceConnect TV. The hope is that we will very soon be able to broadcast some of our Marquee Series LIVE to all. This may also get extended to the occasional other series.

 
To begin with whilst we get accustomed to the software and the systems in place we will bring you regular highlights shows.

This is where you can get your video broadcast on the RaceConnect Channel. I have set up a Mediafire Account just for you to upload your mpeg2 format video. Please keep videos to an absolute max of 200MB or mediafire will not allow the file to be uploaded.

From 6th January there is a new category to the RaceConnect Forum and this is for all your real motorsport discussions there are various sub categories F1, GT, LMS Touring Car and Off Road more will added as suggestions are made. This is just the beginning of a tidy up and reorganisation of the Forum in an effort to make things easier to find for new and old members alike. As they say new year new beginnings.
