This is what i found at the site of my FIA GT 2008 download page.... Instructions after install say -

Please remove following folder to say your desktop or somewhere for online play to work with either the GTL or FIA 2008 Mod´s:

...\GameData\Teams\GTL

As i've not got a GTL folder in that location I'm wondering if those with a disc install of Evo have this in their Evo directory?

It really is pain is this steam crap and the fact that not all our installations are in the same locations. In fact, the rest of my Race 07 data is stored in 'My Documents' under Simbin. I shake my fist at you Sin-bin/steam chumps!!

I've had no issues so far on-line. But i've only been in with my 430.

i have done some trawling throught the internet and there are issues with the original simbin cars

Instant boot as possible cheat:

* C6R
* C5R
* DB9R
* Vertigo
* MT900R
the following choices are all ok

* MC12
* 575
* 550
* 430
* Viper
* 997
there is no need to remove a GTL folder or gtr2mod folders as this will not cure the issue. The developer is working to get a fix

this now leaves us with a major issue with round 1 only 2 days away.

I have a couple of suggestions

1, we run the cars that are ok and I will set the server so as the others are not available untill such a time when the fix is ready
2, we scrap the idea of the series alltogether
3, we postpone untill the fix

my gut instinct is to do away with car choices for now, run the cars that we now know are ok and when the fix is ready we can then revert to the original plan. Untill the fix is ready the ferrari 557 can be made available.

Please guys give me your feedback. we can still make this a 2 class series.

I say we go on with the series for the time being and resume normal service when i fix comes out.

Shame to waste a monday night.

But i'll go with what is in everyones best interests.

My vote is to continue with the series in the new format until a fix is found for the current problem.

I'd go with the 'run with the available cars' option Dean, and hope for a fix later. Like Andy M said it would be a shame to waste the night and the series.
We'll all respect your chioce whatever happens mate, I don't think any of us saw all this coming.

p.s You can get the same mod for GTR2 :P ;)

I compared the gt2 ferrari with the gt sport mosler today.
My fastest laps with 50l fuel were 1:46.9 with the ferrari and 1:47.5 with the mosler.
If the gtpro cars are similar to gt1 we can use them for the first race.

Can't find the 575 anywhere. Just out of interest, where would i find it? .....edit - Found it offline. Probably not been included on server yet.

To update.... At the moment the cars that don't work in the GT1 class are - Mosler, Lambo, DBR9, Corvettes C6R and C5R and the Saleen. Pretty much all bar 3. And they are - MC12, Viper and the Ferrari 550.

Whereas only 2 cars are still ok in the GT2 arena - F430 and 997.

But good idea Ingo. Why don't we allow the original GT cars in?
