Last night was great fun.

Got off the line well enough. Followed Ian through eau rough and got a tow down the straight. Pulled to the outside for the heavy braking. But there we both outbraked each other and couldn't make the turn. Helps to warm the brakes in warm up lap. Forgot the do this. I doubt it would've made much difference though is there is always a wait for people to line up on the grid. Not a dig at anyone :)

So recovered from the off roading and slipped in behind the new race leader Kresimir and from then on we never left eachothers sight. Kres was as stubborn as an old mule and i could not get past. Great racing and it showed a fine understanding of each others ability. Especially going into Eau Rough side by side at one point. I'm afraid i bottled it, even though it was one of these rare oppotunities that opened up.
But slowing to allow Kres the lead again only allowed Rob Laurie to take 2nd from me like i was some discarded doughnut at the side of the motorway.

Was great to watch the battles between Lee and Rob, Kres and myself. Some really tight battles and tight pants :D

It wasn't until the pit stops that i was finally able to get past Kresimir. His stop seemed to last about 2 or 3 seconds longer than mine. Yet for the last few laps i was still not able to entirely break free. Still a wins a win. And i'd like to dedicate that to tricky dicky sobolewski whom has always had the highest regard for my ability. I'm sure this will repay the faith he has shown in me.
Looking forward to getting some more encouragement and driving advise from the plucky teen. Oh sorry, he's 20 now. He's a good lad.

G'day ;)
